Bambusa malingensis – Seabreeze Bamboo

A vigorous, bushy, medium-sized clumping (non-invasive) tropical bamboo that forms dense, upright clumps of dark green/blue canes reaching up to 35 feet tall. The canes can range from 1 to 2 inches in diameter. The leaves are small and dark green, while the newly emerging canes, which appear in abundance, are lightly covered in a powder-blue coating. The shoot tips of these canes are slightly nodding.

This bamboo thrives in full sun or light shade and requires occasional to regular irrigation. It is cold-hardy down to 21°F.
